NO REALLY, JUST BREATHE!
My goal for families is to encapsulate a moment between each other that is impossible to mimic again in photos. The moments when you are laughing or snuggling or being silly.
These are the moments to preserve that you as parents won’t get back, the moments you will cherish forever when you look back at photos. But these are also the pictures that once you as parents are no longer with your kids, they will hold on to for life.
Family sessions don’t have to be stressful; let me take the stress away for you.
Bring fruit snacks, m&ms, anything that your kid will love and give it to them for a job well done.
The best pictures come when your kids are being their true selves and you as parents are soaking up every bit of it.
That’s the real magic right there!

TIPS & TRICKS
This is my favorite piece of information to pass along to families. I myself have kids and I understand that they don't always like to participate in photos at times.
Before taking photography on full time, I worked with children from ages 3-21 in daycare and school settings so no kid can scare me. I let the kids be themselves, I walk and talk with them; I show them my camera. Sometimes they just need to know I'm not so scary when I put this giant black camera in front of my eyes.
Next, moms and dads, if you feel like your going to be frustrated and you aren't happy with how they are behaving take a minute and walk away or jump in and play with your kids; interaction is the best thing for family sessions. I like to play games and let them just run and be themselves before making them stand super still.
Remember your frustration will be passed onto them and they will have a hard time loosening up in front of a new person.
We will capture the "everyone look at the camera" photos you want and need, but also we want those photos that speak about your family and show the personalities that all your children have plus the love that is shared between you.
